This yarn is imported from Norway and is featured in Selbuvotter: Biography of a Knitting Tradition, by Terri Shea. Also used in the books Small Sweaters (out of print, check it out in Rosie's Archive) and More Sweaters, both by Lise Kolstad. Check out these great books using Rauma Ullvarefabrikk, imported from Norway as well.
Finullgarn is technically the heaviest weight of the Rauma wools, knitting at about 6.5 sts per inch recommended gauge. You will find patterns that call for this yarn, however, and ask for a gauge of as small as 10 sts per inch. This yarn is interchangable with anything calling for Shetland wool, fingering weight wool or anything between 32 to 26 sts per 4" (10 cms).
