Introducing Elsebeth Lavold's Silky Wool--a yarn that she personally developed to complement her own "Viking Knits" designs. It's 65% wool and 35% silk; it feels very soft, with a very light hand that won't stiffen even in complex cable patterns. The tweedy flecks are subtle enough not to distract from stitch patterns, either.

Suggested gauge is 5.5 sts per inch on a US #6 needle. 191 yards per 50-g hank, Regularly $7.50 (plus $.50 shipping) seems like very good value.
