Provence![]() |
Our all-purpose cotton: women's t-shirts, baby blankets, a strand of something non-wool to fill in a novelty-yarn scarf, you name it. It's 100% Egyptian cotton, mercerised for luster and softness, with a cable twist that resists splitting and shows stitch patterns beautifully. |

| Optim Roving |
What is Optim you ask? Optim is 100% merino wool that has been "stretched," lengthening the fiber and thereby making it softer, stronger and just darn amazing. Comes the same as the soysilk, get it while you can. The quote below is from Knitter's Review: "The stretching process—called Optim—was first introduced in Australia in 2002. It permanently alters the molecular structure of merino wool, giving it greater luster that, in turn, reflects dyed colors more brilliantly than the standard merino counterparts." |
| Pastimes Soy Silk |
Pastimes is one of our favorite yarns. It comes in hundreds of colors and the lovely ladies who dye it will custom dye any number of skeins in any number of color combos. It's no wonder we spend well over an hour in their booth at TNNA twice a year! And, at $11 a pop for 550 yards it's good for you too. Stop in to see what we have available. |
Dale of Norway
Baby Ull ![]() |
The world's greatest baby yarn, ever, hands down. Fingering weight, machine washable and in tons of colors. The crazy cute patterns don't hurt either. |
Debbie Bliss
Alpaca Silk ![]() |
Alpaca Silk is unbelievably soft. It's also a lot loftier than your average alpaca yarn. The colors gleam--thanks to the silk, presumably--and the pattern support is typically terrific. |
Diakeito
Diarufran![]() |
This is the softest wool we've ever felt. It's a chainette construction, so it looks a little like a hollow tube, and the yardage is wild: 163 yards per 50-gram ball. |

Anne![]() |
One of the Cellar's all time favorites. This yarn began as a sock yarn, given it's superwash wool, merino and nylon content, but it quickly became a favorite for shawls of all kinds.
